CityNews – The Mayor of Chiang Mai, Tassanai Buranupakorn, led a team of police and officials to inspect the structural strength of pubs and bars in the city, and to check if fire exits and fire extinguishers were present.
The inspection was organised to ensure safety for tourists over the holiday period, with an expected increase of visitors to Chiang Mai over the New Year.
