CityNews – An elderly woman was found dead in a stream in Chiang Mai’s Jomthong district last Friday. Police believe she drowned after falling in while drunk.

The woman was identified as Mueboi Mattae, of Omkoy’s Nakian sub-district. Her age was unclear, as her ID card mistakenly said that she was born in 1857.
Witnesses said Mueboi was a heavy drinker, and had been seen walking along the road next to the stream before her death. The body was taken to a hospital for an autopsy.
