CityNews – 23rd March 2020, the COVID Foreign Community Support Group (Chiang Mai) has been formed to provide community support services to enable the foreign community to access essential information, living supplies, Thai medical care and support from their embassies as the COVID-19 endemic spreads through Chiang Mai.

CFCS is a support network of agencies serving foreign nationals in Chiang Mai, who have joined together to provide helping hands to the foreign community to enable them to better help themselves and access assistance provided by the Thai government and embassies during the COVID-19 endemic.

Volunteers are urgently needed, whether it is to help delivery goods and supplies, to offer writing and translation services to disseminate information, to work on administration and coordination or in any capacity whatsoever you feel that you can contribute.

The group aims to act as the centre of information and assistance, working closely with numerous other community groups being formed across the city.

The group was formed through the cooperation of consulates from several countries, Chiang Mai Expat Club, Lanna Care Net, Royal British Legion, Chiang Mai Search & Rescue, Community Church, All Saints Church, McKean Hospital, Chiang Mai Citylife, Rotary International Chiang Mai and Philanthropy Connection.
