CityNews – Villagers in Chiang Dao district’s Ban Mae Na have asked authorities to install warning signs following a spate of accidents on the Chiang Mai-Fang road near their homes, local media reported.
In the most recent incident earlier this month, a 10-wheeled truck carrying corn to Lamphun overturned, spilling its cargo on the road. Two people were injured in the accident, which was blamed on the driver speeding, according to reports.
The villagers said signs warning motorists to drive carefully were installed all along the road in one direction, helping to reduce accidents. They called on the signs to be installed on the other side of the road too.
