CityNews – Two grandmothers will be having their heads shaved on Sunday to raise awareness and money for cancer treatment for the needy.
Annette Kunigagon, a well-known expat businesswoman, will be having her head shaved to raise money and cancer awareness.

Annette Kunigagon, a well-known and respected Irish expat, was recently diagnosed with cancer and has begun chemotherapy treatment. She will be joined in the head-shaving by Lynn Bailey, a British social worker on holiday in Thailand.

Annette, the owner of the long-established Eagle Guesthouse, says the money raised will go to providing one-off assistance to cancer patients who cannot afford immediate care. Individual cases will be assessed by Maharaj Hospital Chiang Mai.

The event also aims to highlight the importance of early cancer screening, and the excellent care provided by Chiang Mai’s Maharaj and Suan Dok hospitals.

It will take place at Oranut Hairdresser, 28 Jaban Road, Chiang Mai, at 6.01pm – straight after the national anthem. Supporters are encouraged to attend.

Donations should be made to Maharaj Hospital by January 10 next year, which is National  Children’s Day in Thailand.
