CityNews – Two Chiang Mai residents have died and a third is severely injured following a suspected murder and suicide.
Police in Mae Rim’s Pong Yang sub-district found the body of Hmong man Chusak Thawornwijit, 39, outside his house on Tuesday afternoon. A shotgun and cartridge were found next to his body.
Police believe he had earlier shot two friends, Chan and Sawatta Thakamsuk, in Samoeng district before turning the gun on himself. Chan was killed and Sawatta was severely injured. She was taken to Nakornping Hospital, where doctors saved her life.
Investigations are continuing, and police are waiting for Sawatta to recover from her injuries so they can interview her.
