As we head towards the tail end of the rainy season and look forward to the changes the cool season will bring, tourists are already beginning to flock to destinations which are traditionally associated with winters.
Chom Thong, in Doi Inthanon, is one crowd favourite which has already seen crowds, and traffic, as those go to see the seas of mist over the lush green steps of paddy feilds which are iconic to the area.
Ban Pa Pong Piang’s spectacular stepped paddy fields is the main attraction in this area.
