Students to Stage Dance Performance of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

CityNews – Chiang Mai’s Sangdao Performing Arts School will present a charity dance performance of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory next month.

The event marks the 50th anniversary of the classic children’s book by British author Roald Dahl, which was first published in 1964. It tells the story of a boy named Charlie who visits a chocolate factory owned by the eccentric Willy Wonka, who is known for creating delicious sweets and chocolates.

The performance, featuring 150 students, is produced by school director Glenn van der Hoff from the Netherlands, with Cai Jiaying from Singapore and teachers from the school.

It will take place from 3-5pm on Sunday, November 23 at the Kad Theatre on the fifth floor of the Kad Suan Kaew Shopping Complex. Tickets are priced at 540, 690, 740, 790 and 2,000 baht, and are available from the school. For more information, email [email protected] or visit sangdaodance.com.
