CityNews – A songtaew driver has been praised after returning 200,000 baht to a Chinese tourist who left her bag in his vehicle.
Dhu Xiao, 19, left her bag containing the money in the songtaew last Friday, reports said. She immediately contacted the railway police for help in locating the driver.
Boonthawee Somdetch, the driver of the songtaew, later contacted the police to say he had the bag.
A ceremony was organised by the police at Chiang Mai railway station, where the driver presented Dhu with her bag and cash.
