CityNews – A warden at Lampang Central Prison admitted he is holding one of three prisoners who were found to have updated their Facebook accounts from the jail.  The convict in question had posted selfies and snapshots of his shackled feet. The prisoner’s mobile phone has not yet been located.

On Wednesday, 4th June, two Facebook users named “Art Raida” and Auntui Mueraberd” posted pictures of three men (who appeared to be prisoners) and also uploaded status updates. The pictures have spread among netizens and social media users. The status updates – and some comments – gave clues that the prisoners were incarcerated at Lampang Central Prison. The guards investigated immediately after warden Khamphi Anurak was notified, however they only found a charger and ear phones.

Warden Khamphi told reporters that one of the convicts in the pictures is in Lampang Prison is serving a sentence in drug dealing. Another prisoner shown in the pictures has already served his jail time and has already been released. The warden believed that the pictures are old. The correctional officers are still searching for the phone.
