The two bodies were discovered on a dirt track in Ping Khong sub-district, along with 12 bullet cartridges from an AK-47 assault rifle.
The victims were named as Patae Pabu, who had a warrant out for his arrest for drug abuse, and Suttichai Pabu.
They pair had left their home on a motorbike to bird-watch at around 10pm last night, but did not return, reports said. Their bodies were discovered around three kilometers from their home.
Suttichai’s older brother had recently been arrested on suspicion of murder, and police believe the shooting was a revenge attack or connected to illegal trading in the area. The investigation is ongoing.
