All night entertainment venues will be opening their doors tonight for the first time in many months. The Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) on Monday made the announcement that all bars, pubs, karaoke, even soapy massage places will open for business as, nearly, usual. Social distancing measures will be in place.
Police at Phuping Police station say that they are ready for tonight and there will be numerous checkpoints as well as inspection teams to ensure safety as well as to check for underage drinkers.
“Tawandang is open tonight,” grinned one policeman at Phuping Police Station. “I wish I was going with friends, but I’ll be going as an inspector. We think all will be ok but are concerned that some people may behave badly. We just want to make sure they know we are there so they behave.”
