CityNews – Police used GPS tracking to arrest a thief who snatched a woman’s phone in Chiang Mai yesterday.

The robbery occurred at around 3.20pm in front of the TMB Bank’s Khuang Sing branch in Changpuak sub-district. The victim, a student, called police and they were able to track the robber’s movements using the iPhone’s Global Positioning System.
Police in three stations coordinated with patrol officers, who arrested the suspected thief less than 15 minutes later in Sam Larn Road Soi 6. The suspect was questioned at Changpuak Police Station.
