Police General Wut Liptapallop said officers would be strictly monitoring illegally parked cars in tourist areas, such as the Night Bazaar, along with any roads leading uphill, the National News Bureau of Thailand reported.
Drivers whose vehicles are clamped in Chiang Mai must visit the Traffic Police office near Warorot Market to pay the fine and have the clamp removed.
