Police Find Stolen Electricals in Unrelated Raid

CityNews – Chiang Mai police discovered a large amount of stolen electrical equipment when they raided a house in Doi Saket in an unrelated investigation.

Doi Saket police brought a search warrant and raided a house in Papong sub-district owned by two unregistered Lahu people.

Police seized the assets of 48-year-old Ar-mee-ma Yapa and Prasong Ruankam and also their neighbour’s assets who is also Lahu.

Residents in Doi Saket had reported a large amount of electrical equipment being stolen yesterday, and police confirmed that these assets also included the missing items.

Items included guitars, stereos, floor polishers, electric drills, transformers, pumps, lawn mowers, wifi routers, computer screens, keyboards and a motorbike with sidecar that they used to carry the stolen items.

Following the raid, three other Lahu people were arrested in connection with organised robbery.

Victims today came to claim their possessions back and the police said anyone who has had items stolen to come and check at Doi Saket police station.
