CityNews – Chiang Mai’s Nakornping Hospital has set up a ‘designated receiving area’ for people with infectious diseases, the first in northern Thailand.

Dr Apichai Mongkol, director-general of the Department of Medical Sciences, visited the hospital on Monday morning to check the progress of the new facility.
The Public Health ministry has ordered designated receiving areas to be set up in 15 hospitals across Thailand.
Nakornping Hospital has also been selected as the only hospital in Chiang Mai to care for Ebola patients, if the disease arrives in Thailand.
