CityNews – A Phayao man bled to death after coming home drunk, cutting his foot on a glass bottle and falling asleep, reports said today.
Photo from Pitilok Facebook pageMoragot Pitigorn, 38, was found in the bedroom of his house on Tuesday morning, with his bed covered in blood, a large open wound on his left foot, and shards of glass on the floor around him.
His grandmother, Patcharee Tawaan, told police that Moragot suffered from a nervous disposition and had previously been admitted to Suanprung Psychiatric Hospital in Chiang Mai.
They lived together in her house but on the day of the incident she was away visiting family in another province.
A coroner concluded that Moragot came home drunk and kicked the bottle, causing a severe cut to his foot. He fell asleep, intoxicated, and died from loss of blood. Police concluded that no foul play was involved.
