CityNews – The superintendent of police in San Patong district, Pol Col Somphot Sonkanok, has been transferred to provincial headquarters for allowing an illegal gambling house to operate in his area, reports said today.
The indefinite transfer follows a raid in San Patong’s tambon Ban Klang in the early hours of today.
Police and soldiers raided the house at about 12.30am following a tip-off. They rounded up 36 gamblers and seized several cars and gambling equipment, the report said.
