Children’s Singing Competition Promotes Thai Culture

CityNews – A children’s singing competition aimed at promoting Thai culture filled the air with sweet melodies in Chiang Mai on Sunday.The event, held at the Three Kings Monument, was part of the AirAsia Cultural Project, in which the airline is sponsoring 100 national artists and singers to travel around the country promoting Thai culture.
There was a three-day workshop with the national artists teaching 100 children in Chiang Mai, culminating in the competition for the best 20. The winners will travel to Bangkok for the grand final in December.
One of the organisers told CityNews that it is important for children in this day and age to remember their cultural heritage.
