Members of the public will be invited to name the newborns, the National News Bureau of Thailand reported.

It is still not known if the cubs are male or female, said the zoo’s assistant director Nipon Wichairat, as the mother won’t let any humans near them. The mother, named Maza, and father Luk Hin are both 15 years old.

The zoo is now home to five lions, including the cubs, and Mr Nipon said the latest arrivals should be unveiled to the public soon.
