CityNews – One person was killed and over 30 people were injured after a tour bus traveling from Udonthani to Chiang Mai swerved and collided with an intersection before hitting a van carrying students this morning, May 27.
According to police who were alerted to the collision at around 6.30am, the bus lost control and crashed head on into the van carrying students before hitting another vehicle and finally crashing into the side of a building at the Den Chai intersection, Lampang.
According to reports, the brakes of the Chackrapong Tour Company tour bus allegedly failed and the driver managed to alert his passengers to move to the back of the bus before he lost control.
All of the people injured in the collision were taken to Lampang Hospital. The identity of the deceased has yet to be released.
Police are investigating the cause of this collision.
