Delegations from the Myanmar Peace Centre and the Nationwide Ceasefire Coordination Team (NCCT), an alliance of armed ethnic groups, met ahead of scheduled ceasefire talks in Yangon tomorrow and Saturday, Democratic Voice of Burma reported.

“We discussed the latest draft of the ceasefire agreement and the NCCT proposed some talking points, including the matter of federalism,” DVB quoted the Myanmar Peace Centre’s Nyo Ohn Myint as saying.

The head of the centre and the government’s chief negotiator, Aung Min, passed on a message pledging to address the concerns of the ethnic groups at the forthcoming talks.
