CityNews – Budget carrier Tigerair Taiwan is to launch flights from Taipei to Chiang Mai next month, according to reports.

Round-trip flights from Taipei’s Taoyuan International Airport to Chiang Mai will begin on November 15 and run every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, Focus Taiwan reported.
Tigerair – a joint venture between Taiwan’s China Airlines and Singapore’s Tiger Airways – said tickets will start at an introductory rate of NT$1,688 (around 1,800 baht). The carrier is also launching flights to Bangkok from November 14.
