CityNews – Police are investigating a claim that there is a child kidnapper loose in Chiang Mai after a post from a local school on social media went viral.
Anubaan Chiang Mai School shared a post that claimed a suspected child kidnapper was hanging around their school and other schools in Chiang Mai. They identified the suspected vehicle as a while Isuzu car with a licence plate number 8497 (letters unknown) which they also claimed was probably a fake.
CityNews has contacted Chiang Mai Police who have said they have opened an investigation into the claim.
Update: According to Pol lt Col Jareewan Puttanurak, an investigator of Child Women and Anti-trafficking Center Chiangmai Pprovincial Police, this is a false claim.
