The public health department of Chiang Mai has announced that many high risk places, businesses and activities will be closed down in order to help prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus.
The Municipal Sports Stadium will be shut down as of today, along with many national parks, and people are asked to check to ensure that places they intend to go to or activities they intend to join in remain in operation, as many will be closed over the next few days.
There is no clear timeline as to when they will all be open, but officials say that they are monitoring the situation closely and do not intend to inconvenience the public more than nescessary.
