Deputy Prime Minister and Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul along with Minister of Tourism and Sports Phiphat Ratchakitprakar visited Sankampaeng and Chiang Mai Neurological Hospital, both of which have been caring for patients with the coronavirus. They were accompanied by Chiang Mai Governor Charoenrit Sanguansat and his entourage.

Both hospitals have had to undergo procedural as well as physical changes and improvements to cater to the virus patients over the past two months and are now considered two of the more well equipped hospitals within or near the city with a team of very professionally trained personnel.

The group then visited a field hospital set up at the Chiang Mai Convention Centre which could potentially sleep 140 beds for men and 140 beds for women. The field hospital is prepared to take on patients on their way to recovery, so as to free up hospital beds for critically ill patients

The ministers say that they are satisfied and impressed at Chiang Mai’s levels of preparation in case there is a second wave of the virus. Anutin went on to thank all medical personnel for their hard work and dedication.
