Following the announcement yesterday that anyone caught without a mask on in ‘risky areas’, which include markets, malls, public transportation, transportation terminals, offices, and all public spaces where people gather, Deputy Governor Weerapun Dee-on said that these are temporary measures and that the Covid response centre is closely monitoring the situation and will loosen such restrictions as cases dwindle, promising that authorities are taking matters in hand and controlling the situation.

No activity or gathering can have more than 10 people, unless it is a funeral or religious gathering, which can have up to 50 people attend. A caveat for any government events also saw no limit to the number gathered.
