CityNews – Prem Tinsulanonda International School in Chiang Mai signed an agreement with IELTS IDP Education on 13 December 2019 to become one of only three official school-based IELTS testing centres in Thailand. IELTS is the International English Language Testing System and it is the world’s most popular English language proficiency test for entry to international universities.  Students who do not speak English as their first language may need to take IELTS to allow them to study at an undergraduate level in many countries. The test costs 6,900 baht and the results last for 2 years.

Prem will hold its first IELTS examination on Saturday, 11 April 2020 in the Senior School. The test will be the IELTS Academic test, which is required for undergraduate entry to university. The test is broken down into two sections. In the morning, students take the reading writing and listening tests which take approximately two hours and thirty minutes. In the afternoon, each student must take a fifteen minute speaking test. The tests will be administered by IDP IELTS examiners.

Please register your interest in taking the IELTS test at Prem on 11 April 2020 by emailing to Prem’s College Office at [email protected]  or call 053 301500 ext 5349.  You will then be contacted by the College Office with further information on how to book and pay for the test.  Please note that this testing date is only available at Prem.
