In Thailand for the first half of the year 2019 (January – June 2019) more than 5 million consumer- initiated tests were carried out on the mobile Speedtest application ranking AIS as the fastest mobile network no. 1 in Thailand for the 5th consecutive year from 2015-2019, and be the first in Thailand that AIS won the fastest fixed network in Thailand, including the winner of the best mobile coverage network in Thailand and the best mobile network in Thailand.
The results of the 2019 Speed Test Awards from Ookla are as follows:
- Thailand’s Fastest Mobile Network, AIS is the winner, with a Speed Score of 19.05 with an average download speed of 23.04 Mbps, the average upload speed of 12.97 Mbps and the average latency of 32 ms., and also being the no. 1 fastest mobile network in Bangkok, which is the province that has the most internet usage as measured by mobile phone users in Thailand that tested over 5 million internet speeds during January – June 2019.
- Thailand’s Fastest Fixed Network, AIS is the winner, ranked No. 1 with a Speed Score of 83.51, the top download speeds 225.94 Mbps, the top upload speeds 113.02 Mbps, and 12 ms average latency, from more than 11 million speed tests from January – June 2019.
- Thailand’s Best Mobile Coverage , AIS is the winner, ranked No. 1 with a Coverage Score of 772 from scans in more than 1 million total locations observed between January – June 2019.
- Thailand’s Best Mobile Network, with the fastest mobile network award in Thailand for 5 consecutive years and the best mobile coverage in Thailand.
