Lovers of Italian food, rejoice! The Dhara Dhevi’s new Italian restaurant with half Thai half Italian Chef Dario Busnelli at the helm is serving up some truly mouthwatering dishes. This bright and upbeat venue with cosy booths to sink into and funky crockery in different colours and shapes — many designed by the chef himself — is styled after a family Italian trattoria, with a busy open kitchen to the front of the restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious with wonderful starters such as the creamy centered burrata cheese salad which is so fresh you feel like you are eating a salad patch. The mussels in a beautiful broth is also highly recommended, as are any of the risottos or pasta dishes. There are no fancy schmancy dishes here, just exacting and quality home-style cooking using the best ingredients Thailand and Italy have to offer. The prices are surprisingly affordable and there is even an on-premises deli so you can grab some Italian cheeses or cold cuts to take home with you.
