Still.Coffee & Life

The tired old Worawut Shopping Centre has had a new lease on life with the arrival of this uber hip coffee shop which has just opened on its 4th floor.

With an industrial-grunge-chic vibe, this very minimalistic café is all about the view – its massive windows opening up to a lovely city-skyscape and the distant green slumber of Doi Suthep-Pui Mountains. The panorama framing to perfection each and every snap of a camera…or iPhone. The venue is spacious with plenty of room between tables so there is no need to worry about twitching ears as you settle in and make yourself at home for an hour, or afternoon. Most of the coffee brewed here is imported and they have a signature cold brew lychee drink which just bursts with flavour and freshness. They also pride themselves on artisanal chocolate drinks using only the highest grade chocolate, hand-melted cup by steaming cup.

A great place to take a break and check in after a hectic shop in Warorot Market.

4th Floor, Worawut Shopping Centre, Wichayanon Road,
T. Chang Moi

Tastecafe Atelier

Millennial chic1

Tucked away in the labyrinth of sois in the Wualai community, this lovingly restored and regenerated old warehouse is set to become a creative space where artisans, craftspeople, the hip and the arty come to meet and hang out. Towering ceilings loom over the open-plan space made stark with its use of raw concrete, and made welcoming with its abundance of exquisite freshly-cut flowers. There is ample room for any type of exhibition and the onsite flower shop, working space and café, draw in the daily crowd. Tastecafe Atelier, the café, has its own corner in the back, contributing a mildly aromatic coffee fragrance to the whole space. Order a classic – latte, cappuccino, espresso – or try a cold brew or coffee drip. For something more refreshing, try the Taste Coffee, the signature cold brew with sparkling water and orange juice.

At Weave Artisan Society, Wualai Road Soi 3

Craft 7th

Millennial chic2

The classic Rachawong Optical has been servicing the short and long sighted bespectacled citizens of Chiang Mai for decades and has now completely reinvented itself with its new Craft 7th shop in Nimmanhaemin, aiming for the younger and hipper crowd.

A large cool-as-a-cucumber space features a spectacular range of glasses and sunglasses as well as luxury watches, making Craft 7th the place to go to find one of the widest selection of glasses in town. Craft 7th is also the sixth Zeiss Vision Analysis Center in Thailand and the first in the northern region, boasting expert ophthalmologist exams, in accordance with the acclaimed Germany’s Carl Zeiss eye examination system.

If you’re interested you can request an appointment in advance to try out the Zeiss Analysis Center service (takes about 20-30 minutes per case). Or simply stop by, browse and try on some great new looks.
