With 14 branches in Thailand, AUA Language Center is a non-profit organisation established in 1952 under the auspices of the American University Alumni Association, under the patronage of His Majesty the King to “promote further mutual understanding between the people of Thailand and the United States through instruction in their respective languages, customs, and traditions.”
While the main mission of AUA is to offer English language courses to Thai learners of all levels, AUA Chiang Mai has a longstanding and very well-respected Thai program me offering Thai language courses for non-Thai speakers who want to speak Thai like a native. While many options are available in the way of 30-day group classes and/or one-on-one private study of varying durations, AUA also offers an education visa for those committed to extended and regular study over a period of one year. The English language program at AUA Chiang Mai offers general English for communication courses to students of all levels, and is happy to announce that we will soon be adding to our curriculum test-preparation courses for IELTS, TOEIC and TOEFL as well as advanced conversation courses for high level learners who wish to pursue courses that will provide opportunities to practice the skills they already have as well as build on those skills through immersion courses and outings.
All AUA courses – Thai or English — are open to people of all nationalities.
