Sister Sandwich is a sandwich bar offering a very varied menu. The cafe provides order sheets on each table should you wish to create your own sandwich masterpiece, however they also have a list of ‘special’ sandwiches such as the pork hung-le northern curry and the beef panang Thai curry, both include French fries and salad (129 baht each).
All day breakfast is served with everything from waffles with apple cinnamon compote (99 baht) to hazelnut granola with yoghurt, banana and mango (69 baht) on the menu. If you don’t feel like a sandwich for lunch, order one of the massive hamburgers with fries and salad (139 baht). For the health conscious, Sister Sandwich also makes a large variety of gourmet salads.

A new mode of transport connecting Chiang Mai to Phuket has come to town: Chaipattana (transportation) Chiang Mai Ltd., also known as Green Corps, has introduced a new Chiang Mai to Phuket route to their Green Bus transportation services, the first bus line to directly connect the northern and southern provinces. With a distance of about 1,594 kilometres between the two cities, the trip lasts 22-23 hours and costs 1,770 baht (each way). In addition to the route, Green Corps is unveiling a redesign of their buses that includes new technology catered to the comfort and safety of the passengers. These VIP buses, consisting of 24 seats in a 12-metre length bus, will have four drivers and two attendants for passenger safety and comfort. On board amenities include bathrooms, electronic massage chairs, and a personal screen that offers a selection of films, music and games that will help the bus ride seem much shorter. The Chiang Mai – Phuket bus only leaves once per day at 3 p.m. from the Arcade Bus Station, so don’t miss it!

Just off the road from the hustle and buzz of the city, Good Morning Chiang Mai is a cafe restaurant offering breakfast, lunch and a wide selection of coffee and tea in a light and airy atmosphere. Taking its name from the film Good Morning Vietnam, the cafe is decorated with a retro feel, in addition to having a small garden and a space for open mic and performers. The breakfast menu, prepared by an American chef, boasts such options as gingerbread that you’d be hard put to find around most of Chiang Mai.
